For the past 16 months, Anchor Loans, like most California-based companies, worked remotely with only essential employees at our headquarters in Thousand Oaks. Earlier this month, California lifted its workplace COVID-19 restrictions, enabling us to fully re-open our office. And we did it with a bang!
On July 2nd, we held a company-wide reopening celebration for our employees , complete with food-trucks, games, prizes and welcome back hugs. Andy Pollock, our CEO, greeted the returning associates, saying: “A lot of creativity happens when you’re working together, a lot of comradery, a lot of teamwork, a lot of collaboration and a lot of support. Life’s too short to have to endure some of the things we’ve had over the last 16 months on the backdrop of COVID-19. It’s time to have fun again…maybe even more than we’ve had before.”
What do our associates think about returning to the office?
“After a year, you miss interacting with co-workers,” said Cody Petit.
A colleague added, “Coming back, it felt like I’d never left!
While Anchor offices are now open, and the vast majority of our team-member are back in the office, there continues to be flexibility for hybrid and remote working situations.
